To support our office in Dublin, Ohio we are looking for a senior-level CAE Consultant (m/f) for finite element simulations at the next possible entry date.

The opening is a senior-level position with our CAE team in Dublin, Ohio which is part of the US-European DYNAmore Group. You will be working on CAE projects either from our office in Dublin, Ohio or directly on site at the premises of our customers in the Columbus region. Over time, you will bring your LS-DYNA application skills to an expert level and will maintain these skills while working on challenging projects and often non-standard tasks across a wide range of automotive and non-automotive applications. Your are also expected to visit conferences, give presentations and conduct training classes on LS-DYNA related topics.

Your responsibilities will mostly include, but are not limited to, explicit crash analysis and passive safety simulations. In particular, this may range from matching material models or connection models with experimental data to debugging and robustness investigations of existing finite element models. Within customer projects you will analyze mechanical problems, solve them using the finite element software LS-DYNA and present and discuss the results to our customers. You will work mostly self-reliant on customer projects as well as support our customers in using the LS-DYNA solver.
- Recent or upcoming PhD in mechanical or civil engineering or related fields.
- Alternatively Master's degree with several years of experience in CAE.
- Above-average academic performance in core engineering disciplines
like applied mechanics, statics or materials theory.
- Experience with finite element solvers where LS-DYNA is beneficial but not required.
- Experience with other tools like LS-Opt, ANSA, PRIMER, ... are beneficial but not required.
- Experience with Linux and scripting languages.
- Superior communication skills.
- Ability to travel is required.
