Dummy Development

After more than 15 years, DYNAmore has established a long tradition in developing finite element models in general and dummy models in particular. This is underlined by a long-standing cooperation with our customers. Almost all DYNAmore dummy models evolved from a close collaboration with the German automotive industry. Within FAT (Research Association of Automotive Technology, Germany) and PDB (Partnership for Dummy Technology and Biomechanics) projects we developed our models close to our customers needs. The FAT consortium unites the German OEMs and some automotive suppliers while the PDB members are represented by Audi, BMW, Daimler, Porsche and VW. Further finite element models were developed for the Livermore Software Technology Corporation (LSTC) or were carried out as in-house development projects.

Ten of the fifteen largest automotive companies have licensed our models.

Examples for these developments are:

  • EuroSID-1, USSID and ES-2/RE model with FAT
  • BioRID II model with FAT
  • WorldSID50 model with PDB
  • Enhanced ES-2/RE model with PDB
  • Simple ES-2 model in contract with LSTC
  • P-Dummy child models as in-house development

All our models feature a top-level validation grade and are distinguished by their great robustness and stability. These models are in production use world wide and support our customers to improve the safety of their cars.
